She was born into New Middle age, where the remains a world once civilised by humans, came in new species of humanoid species of animals. Society is segregated into different class, the top being the Hierarchy – The Sanctus Avis (High Order of the Church). They reinforce their belief into martial law, where they treated the ”pure” animals as equal while, the “unclean” animals are treated either as slaves/ peasants/ or as ‘sacrificial lamb’ hired soldiers.
Gisal was born without knowing her parents and grown up into the streets of peasantry. The only family she known are children like her. She has a passion to be a knight one day. Every time mercenaries and knights patrol around the streets, she watches their every movement by spectating their fight against bandits came to rob a local merchant.
As she grew older, she worked as a bartender to earn some Agitur (their version of currency). One day, knights from The Order of Squire came to visit the local pub – where she works - asking for recruitment. She was thrilled to volunteer but, ended up being ridiculed of her gender. Indeed, segregation meant gender inequality. However, a cry from the outskirts interrupted the knights. As soon as they left, she stole one of their swords and rush off to action to fend ff the bandits outskirts. The knights were impressed by her as she proved herself without any protective armour. She was hired at that spot and, soon went to training becoming a knight.
All going smoothly for her, she gets into bounty hunts and even join a war. Until, one day, the ministry came to inspect the Order of Squire. As everyone - including Gisal - were inspected, one of the minister gave such as fright seeing Gisal. As if he recognised her. Afterwards, she and a few were subjected to a mission of securing a trade route. Upon arriving their location, at first there was no sign of their contact or any merchant. Suspicious, she inspect the route thoroughly while she left her comrades to stay on their guard. But, chaos ensues. Cries from her comrades came to her attention. Unfortunately she was too late, all were dead except for her and the assailant who appears to be a bounty hunter. They fought each other but, to no avail she was stricken by the assailant’s fangs and left as poisoned. In a blurred vision, another individual came face-to-face with her. It was that same minister who inspected them. Double-crossed, she was left to die in a middle of nowhere.
Fortunately, she was saved by the resistance known as Aequalitas. They have their eyes of her from the very start. They even watched her being double-crossed by that minister and, had the time to save her just in time before the poison got to her system. She has mixed feelings filled with regrets and anger, why would she be double-crossed by the Order of Squires? What does that minister knows about her? After her contemplation, she decided to take arms with them as a member, taking on assassinations to put the hierarchy at their place.
